Read This If You’re Too Busy To Make A Move
A client told me something the other day that I hear a lot: “We want to move… but we are way too busy to even think about it.”
Between work, kids, sports practices, and the general chaos of daily life, house hunting felt like one more giant project she did not have time for. She said she kept scrolling Zillow late at night like it was some kind of guilty hobby, but the idea of actually touring houses and making it happen felt exhausting.
But here’s the funny thing about buying a house. Almost nobody does it during a calm, peaceful, wide-open season of life. People buy houses in the middle of soccer season, job changes, school drop-offs, laundry piles, and everything else life throws at them.
So instead of trying to force some perfectly organized “house hunting phase,” we just worked around real life. She would text me listings when she had a minute. I would preview homes and narrow things down so she didn’t waste time. We scheduled showings when it actually worked for her family…after practice, between errands, whenever we could sneak it in.
A few weeks in, we walked into a house where everything just clicked. The kids ran straight outside and started claiming which bedroom was theirs. She stood in the kitchen for a second and said, “Oh no…I think this might be it.”
And yes. It was.
We put together a strong offer, crossed our fingers, and a few weeks later she was signing papers and getting the keys to a house that fits their life so much better.
At closing she laughed and said, “I really can’t believe we actually pulled this off.”
You’re not too busy. You just need someone helping you make the process fit into the life you already have.
Which, conveniently, is kind of my thing!
