Sometimes The First Step Is All You Need
A few weekends ago, I spent the afternoon at a winery with some of my favorite people. It always makes me laugh how differently everyone approaches a wine tasting.
A few people walked right up to the bar with a list of wines they couldn't wait to try. They were asking questions, comparing tasting notes, already planning which bottles were coming home with them.
And then there was me.
Taking my time. Wandering. Snacking on the cheese board. Enjoying the view before deciding what sounded good.
We were all at the same winery. We all showed up for the same experience. We just enjoyed it in completely different ways.
I think about buying and selling a home the same way.
Some people are ready to dive in. They've been watching the market for months, they know exactly what they're looking for, and they're just waiting for the right home to come along.
Others are simply starting to explore. They're figuring out what they want, asking questions, and getting a feel for what's possible before they're ready to make a move.
Both approaches are completely okay.
The step that matters most is simply showing up. Starting the conversation. Doing the first thing that moves you closer to your next chapter, even if that first step is just emailing your favorite agent (hi!) to say, "I think we're getting close."
Wherever you are in that journey, hit reply and let's talk through what the next few months could look like for you.
