The stories we hear influence the stories we live

The other day I was listening to a podcast about organizing your kitchen (this one, to be exact) and before I even realized what was happening, I found myself wiping down counters, decluttering drawers, and finally tossing that random lid that hasn’t had a matching container since 2019.

It wasn’t on my to-do list. I wasn’t feeling particularly motivated.

But just by listening to someone talk about cleaning, I started doing it.

It was a good reminder that what we fill our minds with really matters. The stories we hear influence the stories we live. And that applies to more than just cleaning.

If we only hear stories about how it’s too hard to buy a home right now or not worth it to sell, it’s easy to sit back and do nothing.

But when you hear about people in Napa who are actually buying, selling, building equity, moving closer to family, or finally finding their new home… It changes what you believe is possible.
